We are strengthening our partnership with Open Pixel Systems (OPS), a fast-growing Belgian company specializing in end-to-end embedded software and firmware development and integration. OPS is a spin-off company from TMC, founded by employeneurs in 2020. After a close and successful collaboration, we are now investing in OPS together with its founders. This is a successful example of how our Employeneurship model contributes to technological innovation on a larger scale, while simultaneously motivating top technical talent to embrace entrepreneurship.
OPS was founded by former employeneurs Bram Vlerick and Benoit Catteau, with the support of Jaskaran Sandhu, COO of TMC Belgium. Since then, OPS has quickly built a strong reputation by helping companies integrate their software with the physical world through hardware. OPS fills a crucial expertise gap for companies that have great software ideas but lack the internal knowledge on how to integrate them with hardware or struggle with the final phase of product integration. OPS has become a trusted partner for major technology companies in East and West Flanders that are looking to seamlessly combine hardware and software. In just a few years, the company has achieved more than €1.5 million in annual revenue, reinforcing its prominent position in the embedded systems market.
OPS will continue operations under its current name and identity, becoming our brand for complex embedded system projects. The founders will remain at the helm, with Jaskaran Sandhu leading daily operations as CEO. OPS will benefit from our strong position in the global market, our international reach, and a large pool of highly skilled employeneurs.
The investment enables OPS to take on more ambitious projects, while we further expand our portfolio of high-tech expertise. “TMC gave us the platform and the confidence to start OPS, and we’ve enjoyed a successful collaboration over the past five years. Technology consulting company TMC has acquired (embedded) software specialist Sioux Technologies NV, the Belgian entity of high-tech solutions provider Sioux Technologies, headquartered in Eindhoven. Over the past 25 years, the specialist has built a strong reputation and supports customers such as Atlas Copco, Antwerp Space, and Synamedia with complex software challenges. The acquisition strengthens TMC’s software expertise and its position in the Belgian market.
