Technology consulting company TMC has acquired (embedded) software specialist Sioux Technologies NV, the Belgian entity of high-tech solutions provider Sioux Technologies, headquartered in Eindhoven. Over the past 25 years, the specialist has built a strong reputation and supports customers such as Atlas Copco, Antwerp Space, and Synamedia with complex software challenges. The acquisition strengthens TMC’s software expertise and its position in the Belgian market.

We’re proud to share that we’ve acquired a majority stake in Level21, a management consulting firm based in Västerås, Sweden. This partnership strengthens our local presence and broadens our service offering in Sweden, adding senior management consulting capabilities to our strong foundation in technology and engineering. For Level21, joining us means gaining access to an international network, deep technical know-how, and new growth opportunities.

We are stepping up our buy-and-build strategy to further strengthen our position in high-tech and digital consultancy. With the renewed shareholder structure involving Apheon and MML Capital, we are now able to complement our organic growth with a more ambitious acquisition approach. Our goal: four to six acquisitions a year.

Hightech consultancy firm TMC has acquired Adventec Consulting, a fast-growing French engineering firm based in Lille. The acquisition strengthens TMC’s service offering in the French market, particularly in the railway sector, while it provides Adventec’s team access to a global market and more capital to support its growth.

We’re excited to announce the opening of our newest office in Geneva, Switzerland. With 38 offices in 17 countries and more than 2,800 highly qualified scientists, engineers, and digital experts, our mission remains the same: supporting companies of all sizes across industries in realizing their most ambitious technological and engineering projects.

On May 5th, TMC opened its second office in Portugal. Following the success in Porto, the company has now set its sights on Lisbon. The ambitions are big: while TMC Portugal currently employs 60 employeneurs, that number is expected to grow to 150-200 by 2030. The energy transition is in full swing, but there’s still a lot of work to be done. We are increasingly executing impactful projects for our clients in this domain. The Northeast branch of high-tech consultancy company TMC has officially opened the doors of its new office in Arnhem. TMC Northeast currently employs 200 employeneurs across its offices in Hengelo and Groningen. The goal is to scale up to 500 employees by 2030, with 150 based in Arnhem.

Start-ups, which need to be fast and agile for success, do not always have intellectual property rights (IP) and patents high on their agenda. Many start-ups are not fully aware of the importance of IP, fear high costs or consider it an unnecessary step in the early stages of their development. The Northeast branch of high-tech consultancy company TMC has been growing steadily since its founding five years ago. The multinational, originally from Eindhoven, opened its first office in the east of the Netherlands in April 2019. After a flying start in Enschede and later Hengelo, the company expanded its presence in the North region with an office in Groningen in 2021. We proudly present a revolutionary VR training tool in collaboration with UCLL University of Applied Sciences. Conversations about suicide remain a taboo, and therefore UCLL initiated a VR experience to teach students and nurses how to best cope with these patients. Our engineers from the Young Graduate Program stepped in to help: they turned the basic version into an interactive, scalable and hyper-realistic learning method.

Whereas disposable plastics were the go-to solution for a big family barbecue in the garden, a snack on the go or a picnic in the park in the early 2000s, plastic plates and forks are now nowhere to be found. Under pressure from European legislation, the use of disposable plastics in the Netherlands must be reduced by 40 per cent by 2026. Not very surprising when you know that in the Netherlands we throw away as many as 19 million disposable cups and containers every day.

If developments continue moving this rapidly, a lot could change in the years to come. We have listed five AI trends to look out for.

The rainforests are extremely important to our planet. Unfortunately, more and more rainforest is disappearing due to human activity. One of the initiatives to protect these areas is XPRIZE Rainforest. In this international competition, teams come up with a technical solution to map the entire rainforest. From TMC Belgium, the XiniX AI team will travel to Singapore in June 2023 to secure a place in the final.

Piotr Lutoslawski was working on volume production of hi-tech samples, used in experiments. Including nano-structured materials, thin films and other advanced structures that needed sophisticated equipment to be obtained. Project i-3d.io was born as a result of professional experience, a 3D-printing hobby and the will to become an entrepreneur. “Over two years I developed an idea in my head for a platform connecting users with research facilities which would help fabricate desired samples.”

Team CORE has the ambition to create circular e-waste streams. With the new MAGMA installation, they are one step closer to the goal. Through the installation they are investigating the feasibility of the technology and the installation to convert dumped waste into basalt products in the future.

Switching from a server to the cloud is a trend that started a few years ago. And in the past year – due to COVID19 – more and more organizations switched to this. Which trends and factors will influence working in the cloud in 2022?

On January 15th TMC Italy is celebrating its five year jubilee. Starting from scratch CEO Antonio Abadessa has managed to build a healthy and progressive company in a country where traditional business values are still strong. In this interview Antonio talks about the challenges and successes of his TMC journey so far.

The new office opened on January 4th. Next to Eindhoven, Delft, Utrecht and Enschede this is our fifth Dutch office. With this first office in the north, we can now realize full national coverage.

On 30 March, TMC Spain will celebrate its 5th anniversary, an absolute milestone! Because of Corona, the real party will be celebrated later, but we already spoke with their CEO, Emmanuel Mielvaque. He is involved with TMC Spain from the start, and we talked about the past five years and the future with him. "It has been a rollercoaster, but I’m still in love with our unique Employeneurship model like I was at the beginning. We want to grow to 300 engineers in the next five years, so there is a lot of work to do!"

TMC has opened a new branch in Luxembourg City. With this new office, TMC is now active in 11 countries worldwide. This company, with its origins in the Dutch city of Eindhoven, has international ambitions for growth and the expansion into Luxembourg is a logical next step.
